2023: Isoko APC Grassroots Movement for new Delta hails party leadership, assures victory at polls

The Isoko APC Grassroots Movement for a new Delta, a political support movement of men and women of Isoko extraction has paid a courtesy visit and pledged its support to the leadership of the All Progressive Congress in Delta state.

In a statement read by Mr. Alex Ovie, Secretary of the group, he elucidated on the glorious and laudable achievements of Hon. Ovie Omo-Agege as the nation’s Deputy Senate President in the upper chamber.

The Isoko APC Grassroots Movement for a mew Delta, led by the Coordinator, Mr. Richard Ogbage, made the call during  a courtesy visit on the APC state party chairman, Chief Omeni Sobotie in Asaba

They hailed the landslide victory of the APC candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and other numerous party’s flag bearers at the Delta APC primary,.

According to the Secretary, “the forum is a political support movement made up of progressive men and women of the Isoko extraction who have volunteered to put their resources,ideas, strategies and social contacts together with a mandate to equip and galvanize other political groups to ensure the victory of Ovie Omo-Agege and the APC in the 2023 elections.”

“As enlightened and patriotic Deltans, members of the group re concerned about the story of the present Delta state, which is a tale of bad governance.

“Delta state needs quality leadership.

The progress of any state rests on the quality of its leadership and after an exhaustive evaluation. We pledge our unalloyed support to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state and expressed the group’s readiness to work for the landslide victory at the forthcoming 2023 polls.”

Meanwhile, the APC State Chairman, Chief Omeni Sobotie espoused on the legacies of Ahmed Tinubu as a believer and defender of democracy, adding that Tinubu’s achievements surpasses those of his contemporaries.

He noted that leaders are known by their successors, explaining that Tinubu’s successors in the governance of Lagos state sustained his legacies.

He lamented and berated the successor choice of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, as well as the no release of details of the state Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to Deltans.

In attendance were Comrade Evawere Orahemo, youth leader and Mr. Innocent Omowhaire.
