2023: ISOKO CONSULTATIVE FORUM SUPPORTS OTHIHIWA SENATORIAL AMBITION

Says Forum will Support Winners of House of Assembly, House of Representatives Candidates after Primaries

Isoko Consultative Forum (ICF) at the weekend supported the Delta South Senatorial candidate, Sir Ayodele Othihiwa and promised to support State House of Assembly and House of Representatives candidates after primaries in the 2023 general election.

The chairman of Isoko Consultative Forum, High Chief Eta Enahoro, M.D / Chief Executive Officer of Skyward Resources Nig. Limited, made the statement at an enlarged stakeholders meeting, conveyed by Prof Chris Akpotu, president general of Isoko Development Union, held at Isoko Unity House Oleh, Isoko South local government area of Delta State.

He stated that the forum decided to support Sir, Ayodele Othihiwa because he is ready and considering the fact that nobody indicated interest, adding that the Forum endorsed him as preferred candidate.

Eta, disclosed that the purpose of the Forum is to promote the interest of Isoko Nationality, noting that members of the forum are Isoko Son’s and daughters that are captains of industries, and technocrats that are ready for the 2023 general election.

He said, Isoko Consultative Forum motto and interest is, “Isoko First, stressing that “the forum have no primary intention to contest as members, but to show some level of sportsmanship through collective sponsorship of any candidate of Isoko extraction”.

He further posited that, the endorsement of Othihiwa as Isoko preferred candidate is sincerely premised on his status with outstanding pedigree and as a disciplined top private financial expert. He added that the forum will not disenfranchise any hopeful aspirant, as long as he is from Isoko political ethnic nationality.

Eta further stated that, the forum will decisively and convincingly get involved, physically and financially, after candidates primaries
and appealed to Isoko Traditional Rulers, the Clans President Generals and other stakeholders to sensitise their subjects, delegates, contemporaries and associates to give total support to the Isoko Senatorial ambition.

For his part, Sir. Ayodele Oghogho Othihiwa said. “I have the pedigree to contest for the Senate, my CV is roburst, and with all my years of experience in private consultancy and financial institutions, I will not dissapoint the Senatorial district and Isoko people in particular.” adding that he will be a servant and not leader, ensuring that there will be peace and equitable development.

In his remark, the President General of IDU, Professor Chris Akpotu, commended traditional Rulers and stakeholders, noting that Othihiwa is a good choice as candidate, and that he is competent, a trusted humble servant, eminently versed in administration.
