2nd Term: Bashorun Askia Salutes Deltans For Supporting Okowa ***Assures Of More Democracy Dividends

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Executive Director (Finance and Administration) at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Bashorun (Hon.) Askia Ogieh JP, has commended the people of Delta state for supporting the second term bid of the state governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Bashorun Askia who thanked the citizenry for their support for Governor Okowa’s administration in the last three years due to the massive service delivery and infrastructure development in all nooks and crannies of Delta state, assured that there are better days ahead.

The Senior High Chief who is also the Deputy National Chairman of Delta Political Vanguard (DPV), a mass mobilisation and sensitisation organ of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, said “Governor Okowa has demonstrated equity in the distribution of projects across the three senatorial districts and in the appointment of political office holders in the state.”

He said that majority of Deltans have therefore vowed to ensure the electoral victory of Governor Okowa and all PDP candidates during the 2019 general elections, as a result of the unprecedented transformation of the state within three years, especially the construction of over 193 roads and drainages with more than 90 of them completed across the state.

According to him, “Deltans resolve to return the ‘Road Master’ is because Governor Okowa has turned Delta State into a construction site with various sectoral infrastructure achievements in the major cities and rural communities.”

Bashorun Askia, who appealed to the people to sustain their love and support for the governor, assured the electorate that Governor Okowa’s SMART Agenda of “Prosperity for All Deltans” is to further improve the lives of the electorate through provision of basic amenities and other major infrastructure development across the state.

Recall that recently, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and Governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson respectively commissioned multiple road projects in parts of Delta State, describing the “Road Master” Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as a man who represents hope for Nigeria’s democracy.
