4 Convicted Over Illicit Drugs In Anambra As NDLEA Warns Drug Dealers To Vacate State

The Anambra State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has secured four convictions in the month of January.

They are James Odili male twenty-six who was arrested with one point-one-five-zero kilogram of cannabis sativa and sentenced to two years imprisonment while Paul Odah male twenty-one arrested with three point-five kilogram of cannabis sativa was also sentenced to two years imprisonment.

Others are Ugochukwu Okafor male twenty-eight years, arrested with two point-eight kilogram of cannabis sativa and Ugochukwu Onuchekwa thirty-five years arrested with one point eight grams of methamphetamine, and one point-seven grams of cocaine both were sentenced to two years imprisonment respectively.

In a release issued by the Public Relations Officer, Charles Efosa Odigie, the judgment was delivered by Justice I.B. Gafai, at the Federal High Court in Awka.

Meanwhile the NDLEA Anambra state commander, Mr. Sule Momodu has warned drug traffickers and peddlers to put a stop to their illicit trade, or relocate elsewhere outside the state, because according to him, Anambra will be too hot for them to stay.
