Azman Air Operation In Asaba:    “Gov. Okowa’s Investment In Upgrade Of  Airport Facilities Well Made”  -Aniagwu

Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu has said with the new
flight operations of Azman Air to and from Asaba Airport, the investment by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in upgrading facilities in the airport was well made.

Aniagwu stated this when an indigenous aircraft, Azman Air, Boeing 737, marked SN-AIS touched down the airports runway at exactly 4.25 p.m on Sunday 15th December, 2019.

The Delta Information boss, who was at hand with other officials of the State Government to witness the landing, described the AZMAN flight, which heralds the commencement of official use of Asaba Airport by the airline as one of the payoffs from the development efforts of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

Captain Ibrahim Mamman described the landing experience as “okay and very comfortable. So far, so good,” adding that “This airport is one of the best airports in the country.”

The Managing Director of Azman Air, Dr. Faisal Abdulmunaf, expressed delight at the commencement of operations in Delta State and said that four flights a week to and from Asaba would be on Abuja route while two flights a week would be via the Lagos route.

Dr.Abdulmunaf who conducted round the airport facilities further revealed that the airline has aircrafts with capacity for 148, 124 and 110 passengers at a time.
