Dame Okowa Interacts With Delta Queen Mothers **Urges Them To Pray, Preach Peace, Love, Unity

Wife of Delta state governor and founder of 05 Initiative, Dame Edith Okowa has described prayers as the only means to solving myriad of societal problems.

Dame Okowa who feted the wives of traditional rulers in Delta state to an end of year interactive session on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, emphasized on the need for them to pray unceasingly for peace and unity in their respective kingdoms.

She also told them to be supportive of their husbands who are the custodians of the people’s customs and traditions through complementary roles to sustain the state government’s prevailing peace and unity for meaningful developments across the state.

While tasking the Queen mothers to be steadfast in prayers particularly for their kingdoms, State and Nigeria ahead of the 2019 elections, she admonished them not to undermine the powers of prayer to nation building.

Kesiena Samson in her sermon enjoined the queen mothers to imbibe the spirit of love as well as investing in God’s work.

Earlier in a welcome address, Director of 05 Initiative, Mrs. Kewe Agas said the event herald the Christmas season where her Excellency interact with the Queen mothers annually.
