Delta Force FC Unveiling Loading…

The Management of Delta Force Football Club of Asaba will tomorrow unveil its players to the media and the public ahead of its debut in the on-going Nigeria Professional Football League.

         The Delta Ambassadors who are expected to make their debut on Sunday at the Steven Keshi International Stadium when they tackle visiting Go-Round Football Club of Omoku, Rivers State will be unveiling the players at three in the afternoon at the Media Center, Steven Keshi International Stadium before unveiling the team to the public at the main bowl of the Steven Keshi Stadium Asaba.

          The Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Mr. Emanuel Chidi-Okonkwo said the team will be playing under flood light as the match against Go-Round will kick off at six in the evening with the gates thrown open to football fans in the capital city and environs.

          Mr. Chidi-Okonkwo said the team which is currently placed fifth believes in the power of the twelfth man therefore has urged the teeming football fans within and outside Asaba to turn out in their numbers to cheer the Delta Ambassadors to victory.

          He assured fans of exciting football display as Olympic Eagles invitee, and diminutive winger Anayo Iwuala, defence stalwarts Fabian Okorie, Pascal Eze, former Super Eagles Goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim and veteran Nigeria Professional Football League campaigner, Zaka among other players have assured that they would give the fans something to cheer even as they go for the maximum three points.

          Mr. Chidi-Okonkwo also urged the fans to support the team in their quest to retain their Nigeria Professional Football League status asserting that the team was still work in progress and will be aiming to bring continental football to the capital city next season.
