At the prayer session which was attended by hundreds of women from across Delta state and witnessed the rendition of hymns, songs of praise to God and worship, the Governor’s wife and host of the event told women to be fervent in prayers and seek God’s wisdom in their efforts to bring up their children in the ways of the Lord.

She explained that the life transforming prayer session whiich holds annually on February 2 is intended to enlighten women, strengthen their faith in God and commitment to societal growth by entrenching Godly values in their children who are the major players in governance, global peace and development.

While conducting prayers for the forthcoming National Conference, general elections, and against corruption and ungodly leaders, Deaconess Uduaghan affirmed that the foothold of Nigeria’s greatness started in Delta state with the commencement of the Delta Mothers’ Day Of Prayer in 2007, adding that Deltan and Nigerian women would not cease in their prayers to uplift Delta state, Nigeria and its people.

According to her, “To be a godly mother is not a permanent thing. Godliness simply means God being in the centre of your life, your thought, your work, your speech.”
