DESOPADEC Boss Bashorun Askia Leads Officials On Project Inspection In Isoko Nation

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Bashorun Askia Ogieh, FCNA, CrFA says the Commission has commenced the inspection of projects to ascertain the level of work done by contractors.

He stated this on Thursday January 9, 2020 when he led some executive directors on Project Inspection Tour in Isoko Nation.

Speaking during the project inspection, the MD/CEO of DESOPADEC, said the inspection is aimed at accessing the level of work done so far for possible commissioning.

In his words, “We came to see for ourselves the completion level of the projects inspected to enable us plan for the commissioning. We have also visited the Asaba-Ase Road connecting Asaba-Ase and other communities that were destroyed by the devastating flood with views to rehabilitate the road to connect them to the world again”, He added.

Some of the projects the team visited includes; “Visiting Lecturers Guest House and a Modern Hostel, Infrastructural Development, Delta State University, Oleh Campus, Ultra Modern Civic Center, Uzere, Opute Hall, Ozoro, Uzere Model Secondary School, Uzere and Asaba-Ase road.”

The MD/CEO was accompanied on the Project inspection tour by some members of the DESOPADEC Board, which include the Executive Director Planning Research and Statistics Hon. Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director Social Services Barr. Leonard Anoka, as well as the Head of Department of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Housing, Works among others.
