-By Gertrude Onyekachukwu-Uteh:

Anthony Nnamdi Odogwu is the CEO of Anthony Odogwu Farms. He hails from Oshimili North. He enrolled in YAGEP in the 2015/2016 cycle in which he was trained and established with a buffer support package in Poultry at the YAGEP Farm Cluster located at the Delta State Agricultural Rural Development Agency (DARDA), Ibusa. Though a graduate in Mathematics, he has remained in business. Hear him.

“My business is growing and I am expanding to other locations. From 400 layers and 200 broilers, I now have 700 layers and 300 broilers.

“I have diversified into Fish Production and Crop Production. I have a stock of 2,000 fish and plantain, yam, cassava and tomato farms.

“I live a comfortable life which is my major achievement. YAGEP gave me a means of livelihood and made me relevant. I no longer need a white-collar job. All I need is the opportunity to expand.

“From the proceeds from my farm, I provide for my family and pay my children’s school fees. I bought a car and a plot of land measuring 200 by 100 feet.

“I have trained three persons and I have two employees. Youths should key into the agricultural policies of the state government for improved livelihood”
