Miners Association of Nigeria Inaugurates Delta State Executive ***Commends FG, Stakeholders For Growth In Mining Sector

The Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN), Delta state chapter, has inaugurated its newly constituted executive led by Comrade Patrick Idolor to oversee the affairs of its members and partner with relevant stakeholders and government agencies.

The inauguration which took place at the Federal Secretariat conference hall in Asaba on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 was supervised by the Association’s national officers, led by Comrades Dele Ayanleke (National Secretary), Nuhu Way Jnr (Assistant National Secretary) and Mallam Danyaro Mohammed (National Treasurer).

In a keynote address, the National President, Alhaji Sank Shehu, who was represented by the National Secretary), Comrade Dele Ayanleke, congratulated the newly constituted state executive for establishing a proper structure to project and protect the interest of Nigerian miners.

While disclosing that MAN membership comprises of exploration, quarry, mining and processing companies as well as services and consultancy firms that relates to the mining sector in the country, he urged all critical stakeholders, especially the members of the Miners Association of Nigeria to present a united front in the voyage to diversifying and broadening the national economic space.

He also thanked the Federal government for facilitating the template for the growth and development of the miming sector through its renewed focus of the Nigerian government to rejuvenate the sector and restore its glory as a major contributor to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

In his inaugural speech, the Chairman of the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN), Delta state chapter, Comrade Patrick Idolor restated the commitment of the newly inaugurated executive of the association towards improving the lot of its members through team efforts.

The State Secretary of the association, Comrade Kenneth Odita further stated that the inauguration of the state chapter of MAN has heightened their resolve to always ensure that the association’s policy objectives are driven with zeal and vigour, despite challenges.

Earlier in her speech, the Federal Mines Officer (FMO), Engr. Mrs. Bukola Kuye expressed delight over the responsible conduct of all miners in Delta state and other stakeholders who had contributed immensely towards the successful inauguration and growth of the association.
