OYEDE MONARCH INUAGURATES ODOGA TOWN AS AUTONOMOUS ENTITY

The Odiologbo of Oyede kingdom, HRM Dr. Joseph E. Idiareh, Oriagha 1V, has inuagurated ODOGA town as one of the three towns under Oyede Clan, at Odoga Oyede kingdom, Isoko North Local government area of Delta State.

The monarch while inuagurating the executives to pilot the affairs of ODOGA town for one tenure of two years stated that, “the Midwestern States of Nigeria gazette published by authority in Benin City on 1st of December 1976, affirmed that Oyede Development Commitee has Oyede town, Odoga, Okrama and Bethel”.

He maintained that, the publication of the 1976 gazette authorized the inuaguration of ODOGA as a town in Oyede kingdom, and noted that other towns subsist, just as he declared Odoga autonomous town of Oyede kingdom.

He emphasized that the executives of Odoga town now inuagurated, has been empowered to build administrative buildings and engage in the infrastructural development of the area.

The monarch urged the executives to be involved in Oyede kingdom administration, even as he declared Chief Enakeno Apah Itesa as the clan Otota of Oyede kingdom.

The high point of the event was the unvailing of Odoga signpost by the monarch, accompanied by the president general, Surveyor Peter Akarogbe, high Chief Eta Enahoro, the chairman of the ceremony, high Chief Iduh Amadhe, Engr. Isaac Ofu and other Oyede high profile personalities.

For his part, the president of Odoga town, Chief Cleaver Daniels said, “henceforth Odoga is one of the three towns under Oyede Clan and remains the home for all Oyede citizens, visitors and investors”. He urged everyone to build and stay in Odoga, noting that all lands and properties in Odoga are owned by respective families.

Cleaver Daniels enumerated infrastructural development structures required to include, town hall, market / the facilities and proper boundary delineation mark.

He posited that Odoga town shall have three quarters to be named as Oduwe, Omoru and Abakpome and urged everyone to elevate their foundation to between 8 and 9 blocks levels due to 2012 and 2022 flood occurrence.

In his remark, the Patron of Isoko Development Union, High Chief Iduh Amadhe, urged the Odoga town union executives to utilize the opportunity of it’s autonomy and recognition for the development of the area and pledge his committement, just as he commended Engr. Isaac Ofu, former general manager Bank of Industry and all that contributed towards the success of the event.
