Nigeria’s President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) has signalled no end to new zoning formula, as he says party’s decision is sacrosanct.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is marketing the new zoning arrangement to its members, just as the Acting National Chairman of the party, Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed has evolved acceptance strategy for its members.
PDP had on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 initiated a zoning formula for top political offices with the North Central retaining the Senate president position; South East, Deputy Senate President and that of the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), South West, Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives while the North East will take National Chairmanship position of the Party.
