The attention of the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has been drawn to a paid advertisement in the Vanguard Newspapers of Monday, July 4, 2011 by one group – The Concerned Elders League of Delta State.

Let it be stated categorically that the Governor does not know the group directly or indirectly and has not in any way related with the group.

Besides, the issue of ministerial nomination raised by the group in a “Letter to Mr.  President” with the theme: A Case for Additional Minister from Delta State has nothing to do with Governor.

The Governors of the Federation were asked to nominate 10 persons each and this informed the 10 persons nominated from Delta State by Dr. Uduaghan

The Governor takes full responsibility for the 10 names nominated from the state as well as wish to state that there was no pressure from any person or quarters including the presidency in the nomination made.

Accordingly, His Excellency did not and would not subscribe to any request by anyone or group for additional slot as this would serve no good but ill-feelings and bad-blood among brothers.
