Right Of Reply: Prince Ovrawah Barates Leo Ogor, Says Attack On Oleh Monarch Disdainful

Re-OZORO/OLEH CRISIS: “Oleh Odiologbo Should Mind his Utterances”

Prince Tony Ovrawah has condemned in strong terms the attack on HRM Anthony O. Ovrawah Omogha 1, the Odiologbo of Oleh kingdom by Mr. Leo Ogor Okuweh, former minority leader of the house of representatives saying, “Oleh Odiologbo should mind his utterances”, and described it as aberration and disdainful without regard to the royal majesty.

Prince Ovrawah made the statement while reacting to an online publication by TheNewsguru.com on Friday 20th November 2020 by Mr Leo Ogor.

He stated that the statement alleging that Odiologbo of Oleh said, “Leo Ogor armed youths in Isoko to perpetuate mayhem“ is false and devoid of truth in its entirety.

Prince Ovrawah urged the law maker to ignore false rumor and warned agents peddling false information to cause panic and hatred to steer clear of the Oleh / Ozoro crisis as the gruesome murder of the Oleh 12 indigenes at Ada farmland on the 16th of October 2020, is totally unacceptable.

He maintained that Mr. Ogor should have investigated the allegation before making counter accusation on his royal majesty, stressing that the law maker who has represented the people of the constituent for many years, should be more concerned about peace of the people and subsequent solution to the crisis.

Prince Ovrawah said, to accuse a traditional ruler of allegation which is not true shows the height of disrespect, stressing that, to have called Oleh monarch as ‘clan head’ is scornful attitude, He added that inflammatory statements from the law maker who represents Isoko constituency shouldn’t emanate at this time.

He maintained that, challenging the chairman of Isoko traditional rulers council, to show links Mr. Ogor played in the communal crisis should not come at this time that Oleh community is mourning and seeking for Justice.

Prince Ovrawah said, if the law maker is disturbed by the killing, he ought to have been more concerned on restoring peace and to bring the perpetrators to book in his constituency and not to make statements of disaffection and counter claims of allegation and accusation.

He opined that the role played by Isoko development union, representatives of the Delta State government on peace building and conflict resolution, the two local government council since the onslaught should be complemented by the law maker to ensure lasting peace and stop accusing Oleh traditional ruler of baseless allegation.

Prince Ovrawah added that, calling on the inspector general of police and Delta State commissioner of police to arrest and punish the culprits to end the communal crisis and restore lasting peace should be the main focus of the law maker and not to depend on frivolous false information capable of causing tension and disunity among the constituents.
