-Blank NEWS Online (NIGERIA) –From Mike SOGBOLO:

Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has expressed doubt over the sincerity of both Federal Government and Plateau State Government to fish out and prosecute the perpetrators of Rukuba killings where 22 travelers were confirmed killed over the weekend by suspected natives of Plateau State.

The association in a signed statement by it’s chairman, Hon. Khalil Mohammed Bello on Wednesday while condemning the brutal murder, said: “At the same time, though we are doubting the Plateau state and Federal Governments sincerity of promising to fish out the perpetrator of this heinous crimes we want to call on them to hurriedly expedite action in fishing out and arresting all those who would be found wanting in the said criminal act and deal with them decisively no matter how highly placed their relative in Nigeria might be.”

Bello said: “We are on the said stand for the reason that taking immediate action of fishing out and punishing them will serve as a deterrent to others.”

He however commended the security personnel and volunteers in Plateau State who helped in tracing all those trapped in the said painful incidents and kept them in a very safe place as well as taking all the wounded victims to designated hospital or buried the deceased according to Islamic injunction.

He said the action of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba’s immediate positive response by assigning and sending two high ranking police officers, a DIG and AIG to meet the governor of Plateau State, Barrister Simon Lalong and assist the security operative there to trace the perpetrators of the shameful act under reference is highly appreciated by KACRAN.

He called on the Plateau State Chairman of the association, Alhaji Boro Husseini to call on our members in the State to give security officers all the necessary cooperation and support towards the maintenance of peace and security in the State and Nigeria at large.

He called on all Nigerian regardless of their tribe, religion or political inclination to be calm and law abiding citizens of the nation and live in peace with one another in wherever area they live in the country.

He said: “We call on the people of Jos North and the other two affected local governments in the State where curfew was enforced with good faith by His Excellency in his bid to stop the escalation of violence in the State to be law abiding citizens and obey the order given to the fullest.”
