STEP Improved My Life, Says Akpotayobore

-By Gertrude Onyekachukwu-Uteh:

Kingsley Akpotayobore hails from Udu LGA and has an NCE before he enrolled in the Delta State Government’s Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP) in the 2016/2017 cycle. He was retrained in Electrical Installation and Maintenance.

Thereafter, he established Kingsuged Nigeria Enterprise as the CEO of the enterprise. Kingsley has done well in business and has taken over the job of electrical installation in his locality and beyond. He shares his success story five years later.

“After STEP training, my knowledge in the skill improved practically as a Brown STEPreneur. I now take contracts and handle it without supervision. I install solar energy in homes. I am in partnership with some colleagues who I work with when I have many jobs.

“The job is lucrative. I have a shop where I sell electrical materials, pipes and cables. I have built a permanent shop at 11 Ohahem Owhrode Town, Udu. I completed part of my building last year; I reside there with my wife and children.

“I have trained two persons and have one trainee. STEP improved my life, publicized me and increased my patronage.”
