<strong>STEP Is a Step-Up for Me, Says</strong><strong><em> </em></strong><strong>Obada</strong>

-By Gertrude Onyekachukwu-Uteh:

Blessing Obada, though an SSCE holder, is determined to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship. She is the CEO of Sparkling B Hair World, a salon she established after her training in Hairdressing and Makeover in the 2019/2020 STEP cycle. She hails from Warri North LGA. Barely two years in business, she has trained 15 persons; she bares her mind on the journey so far.

“I was selling second hand clothes before I got enrolled. STEP is a step up for me. The training was good; I learnt a lot. I rented this large space and tastefully furnished it from my earnings. All components of my starter packs are still in use as they are of good quality. I only bought two hair stretchers and a hot comb.

“In the past two years, I have trained 15 persons with three of them established. At present, I have five trainees and one employee. I have diversified to sales of hair beauty products, attachments and beverages.

My family now enjoys better livelihood. I no longer wait for my husband to provide everything we need at home. Thanks to Governor Okowa for the opportunity to become a CEO.”
