STEP is well thought-out to benefit unemployed youths – Ojuwa

Authentic Ojuwa is a beneficiary of the Delta State Government’s Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP) in the pioneer 2015/2016 cycle. He was trained and established in Computer Maintenance and Hardware Repairs.  He is a graduate and hails from Ukwuani Local Government Area.  He shares his testimony after seven years as an entrepreneur.

“It has been good. Aside from my academic qualification, the technical knowledge and skills have added to my profile. I am making money from it. I have grown my business and have diversified into the sales of wine. I have a wine shop here in Obiaruku.

“I have trained four persons; I currently have one trainee and two employees. In addition, I am now married. I have acquired a plot of land too. Economically, STEP is good. The programme is successful and well thought-out to benefit unemployed youths. The economic situation in Nigeria is a major challenge to the youths, but with a skill they can weather the storm.

“My future plan is to grow my business into a computer school where I can train youths in software and hardware technology.”
