US Polls: HISTORIC NIGHT FOR DIVERSITY

Colorado voters elected Jared Polis, making him the first openly gay man to win governor.

Democrat Ayanna Pressley won her House race in Massachusetts’ 7th District, becoming the state’s first black woman elected to Congress.

Democrats Rashida Tlaib in Michigan and Ilhan Omar in Minnesota won their races for House seats, becoming the first Muslim women elected to Congress.

Also, Democrats Deb Haaland and Sharice Davids will become the first female indigenous candidates heading to House after wins in New Mexico and Kansas.
