Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said if given the opportunity to fly the flag of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming presidential elections, he will defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate without struggle.

Okorocha insisted that he has the capacity to defeat President Goodluck Jonathan if given the opportunity by his party, All Progressives Congress to be its flag bearer in the 2015 presidential election.

“I believe that if I fly the flag of APC, definitely I will bring victory to APC in 2015. I am the only one who can defeat PDP without struggle. No PDP candidate can face me in the other parts of the country. We don’t have problem with PDP, our problem is how to choose the candidate that can defeat it.”

Rochas spoke in Kaduna on Monday, November 03, 2014 at a rally organised by a northern group, Arewa Peoples Grand Coalition.

The group had urged him to pick the presidential ticket because he stood a better chance to defeat the PDP candidate (Goodluck Jonathan) and other contestants in the race than all the APC presidential aspirants.

Governor Okorocha noted that none of the contestants had ever provided free education in the country or in a state, stressing that he had over the years provided free education in some parts of the country, adding that he would provide same all over the country if he becomes the President.

Earlier, Okorocha had visited the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, and laid a foundation for Rochas Secondary School in the emirate, which he said would be free.

Okorocha, who spoke both Hausa and English languages, said, “I am the only candidate that can dislodge the PDP in the 2015 presidential election. Tell me of all the people who are eyeing the presidency, how many of them have provided free education.

“There is a need for a change in Nigeria, it is a must, and it must happen. The change has become necessary in our country.”
