80.2 Bn: EFCC Arraigns Ex Kogi State Gov Yahaya Bello

Blank NEWS Online have gathered that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will today arraign a former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
He is being arraigned on a 19-count charge before Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court Abuja on Thursday.

Bello served as the governor of the North Central state from January 27, 2016 to January 27, 2024, and subsequently handed over to his fellow party man in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Usman Ododo.

Meanwhile, the incumbent Governor of the State, Usman Ododo, has visited the embattled former governor of the state, Yahaya Bello, during a heavy security siege on the latter’s Abuja home.
However, the EFCC had earlier dragged Yahaya Bello, his nephew Ali, one Dauda Sulaiman, and Abdulsalam Hudu before Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, in an amended charge in March 2024 over an alleged N84bn money laundering.
