Immediate past Managing Director/CEO of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Odio Bashorun Askia Ogieh, has praised the Speaker of the 8th Assembly, Rt. Hon. Guwor Emomotimi Dennis, for marking a historic Two years anniversary in office.

He particularly expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship that exists between the legislature and the executive as well as other arms of government.

Odio Bashorun Askia Ogieh said he is happy with the responsible leadership prowess of Rt. Hon. Guwor Emomotimi Dennis, which according to him, has helped in steering the ongoing massive development and very substantial, multi-dimensional progress across the state.

“He is doing very well. I love what he is doing so far.
I am pleased with him for ensuring that the 8th Assembly aligns with the Governor’s MORE agenda and strengthening the cooperation between legislative and executive organs.

So far, under his supervision, the 8th Assembly has fulfilled its constitutional duties of lawmaking, representation and oversight.

He praised Guwor’s transparent leadership style in the House by expressly encouraging robust debate among members and fostering strong ties with civil society, the media, and the public.

He described the Speaker’s plans for continuous capacity building of legislators, their aides as well as management and staff of the Assembly, while promoting industrial harmony within the State Legislature as awesome.

“I hail him because he has demonstrated remarkable leadership capacity, and I am proud of his achievements”, Bashorun Askia said.
