The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a tricycle rider, one Uchhena Nwafor, a 24-year-old native of Umuogdunun village, Awka axis of the State.
Trouble started on Wednesday 27th January 2021, when the suspect was behaving in a suspicious manner which made the Police to carry out search on him and a locally made pistol loaded with life cartridge was recovered in his possesion.

The suspect was promptly arrested and is assisting the Police with useful information to unravel his motive of being in possession of firearm after which he would be brought to justice.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Haruna Mohammed, on the 27the f January 2021 at about 2:44pm, Police patrol team attached to B’ Division Awka while on stop and search duty along Juhel Pharmacy Nodu, Awka intercepted a tricycle rider who resides at Meloc Road Awka. Recently, the command has intensified a rubost patrol in order to stem the tide of cultism and other nefarious activities in the State.
