Black Sunday, As Gunmen Invade Delta, Kill 3 Police Officers, Burn Station @ Nsukwa

UNHOLY calm has descended on the Nsukwa community as unknown gun men allegedly attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters Nsukwa in Aniocha South Local government Area of Delta State, killed three Police officers and set the station ablaze at the early hours of Sunday, May 16, 2021.

According to a reliable source, the incident occurred at about 2:00 am on Sunday morning as people were still asleep.

The cause of the attack was not immediately known but reports revealed that the unknown gunmen struck at about 2:00 am and caught the police officers unawares and started shooting sporadically.

According to an eyewitness account, “We were terrified to hear gunshots at about 2:00 am on Sunday morning from the police station only to hear at dawn that the police station was attacked by unknown gun men and three Police officers killed.”

Meanwhile the corpses of the officers were deposited at the Isheagu General Hospital morgue, just as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe has confirmed the report.
