THE ENTIRE Nsukwa community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State was engulfed with wild jubilation in the early hours of today, Tuesday December 14, 2021, following the release of a popular Chief and frontline politician, Hon. Chief Michael Oloamiwe, the Owelle of Nsukwa kingdom.
The 84 years old chief was allegedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Wednesday December 8, 2021 while on his way back from a meeting at the palace of HRM Obi Kenneth Ezegbunem 1, the Obi of Nsukwa kingdom.
According to impeccable sources, a ransom was paid to secure his release. “I am highly excited and glad to see our Chief once again, thank God for his Mercy and loving kindness towards him”, said a well-wisher.
Recounting his ordeal with his abductors, the Chief said he was not maltreated but respected for his age.
“I thank the Almighty God for my freedom and appreciate all and sundry who contributed in one way or the other for my release”, asserted the Chief.
Meanwhile, the Chief is now receiving medical treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
