Ejomafuvwe Oghenero Vincent is the CEO of Vincent Ejoafuvwe Farm located at Aghalokpe. He is an SSCE holder. He hails from Okpe Local Government Area. He had no money to further his education, but took advantage of the Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme (YAGEP) in the 2019/2020 cycle to be enrolled in Poultry Production. He shares his experience after three years. Hear him.

“I was given 200 point of lay birds, 250 broilers and 70 bags of bird feeds. I added 50 noiler birds. Though I suffered some challenges during the period of bird flu, I thank God I am still progressing in the business. I have diversified into cassava and oil palm farming. I have 5 different locations of cassava farm and an oilpalm plantation.

“Three years after establishment, I will say business has been good and I am doing well in it. I am married with two children. I bought a land which I am developing as a residential building.

“I have trained one person who is established. Currently, I have two trainees; I have two employeeson monthly salary. YAGEP took me from grass to grace. Before now, I could hardly pay my bills. I thank God and the State Government for the opportunity given to me.

“I wish to expand my poultry and cassava farm because people eat every day. I also wish to acquire personal land where I can farm in future.”
