Warri Wolves FC Grants Mba Conditional Release For CAF Champions League

The Management of Warri Wolves FC has after a crucial meeting which ended at about 11am on Thursday, May 02, 2013, bowed to entreaties to PROVISIONALLY release Mba Sunday to Rangers International Football Club to play this weekend match against Angola in the ongoing CAF Champions League.

A statement made available to Blank NEWS Online by Mr. Moses Étude, media officer to the club reads:

“Management actually listened to the plea from well meaning Nigerians especially the Nigeria Football Federation and wish to state for the avoidance of doubt that Sunday Mba remains a player of Warri Wolves and all financial and federating rights remain with Warri Wolves.

“The general public should also note that Warri Wolves with human face is doing this in the interest of the Nation and also, not to put the career of Mba who has remained ungrateful in jeopardy. Below is the full content of the letter signed by the Secreatary Lawrence Omowho and sent to the Nigeria Football Federation titled” PROVISIONAL RELEASE OF MBA SUNDAY TO RANGERS INTERNATIONAL.”

“The Management of Warri Wolves Football Club hereby on NATIONAL INTEREST releases its bonafide player, Sunday Mba to play for Rangers International Football Club, Enugu.

“The Nigeria Football Federation should note that HUNDRED PERCENT FINANCIAL AND FEDERATING RIGHTS of the player, Sunday Mba remains with Warri Wolves.

“Warri Wolves is doing this in the national interest and so that the player’s career would not be in jeopardy.”
