The Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA) has commended Trend FM 100.9 for a decade of excellence in broadcasting and public service, reaffirming its commitment to advancing environmental sustainability through strategic community partnerships.
As part of activities marking the station’s 10th anniversary, the agency collaborated with Trend FM to organize a sensitization exercise under the Secure, Clean, and Green Delta State Capital Territory initiative.
The campaign aims to promote environmental responsibility, public hygiene, and sustainability among residents of the state capital.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of DSCTDA, Patrick Ukah, lauded Trend FM for its professionalism, consistency, and dedication to informing, educating, and engaging the public throughout its ten years of operation.
Ukah noted that the collaboration aligns with the agency’s broader strategy of engaging private-sector actors and community-based organizations to advance the goals of the Delta State Government’s #M.O.R.E Agenda.
He expressed pride in the partnership, emphasizing the shared responsibility of both government and media institutions in promoting sustainable development.
“I wish Trend 100.9 FM a happy and prosperous 10th anniversary. Your dedication to informing, educating, and engaging the public over the years is truly commendable. We are proud to partner with you as we continue to promote environmental consciousness and responsible citizenship across the capital territory,” Ukah said.
He further urged organizations, institutions, and stakeholders to join forces with government agencies in building a cleaner, safer, and more livable environment.
“Working together, we can create the kind of environment we all desire, one that is safe, strong, clean, green, and livable for everyone,” he added.
Over the past decade, Trend FM 100.9, based in Asaba, has distinguished itself as one of Delta State’s leading radio stations, recognized for its balanced reportage, innovative programming, and active engagement in community development.
Officials from both DSCTDA and Trend FM reiterated that the partnership underscores the crucial role of the media in driving environmental awareness and supporting government initiatives aimed at achieving a cleaner and greener Delta State Capital Territory.
