The President General of Isoko Development Union, High Chief Iduh Amadhe at the weekend commiserated with the family of High Chief Patrick Wilson Omonose as he was laid to rest at Olomoro, Isoko South local government area of Delta State.
Speaking at the National secretariat of Isoko Development Union at Oleh, Isoko South local government area, to honor Chief Patrick Omonose as a one-time President General of Isoko Development Union, Amadhe described Omonose as a dedicated leader of Isoko nation, noting that his legacies will be remembered by Isoko people.
Amadhe while eulogizing Chief Omonose said, he served in several professional, cultural and community organizations to include, Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress, Akim–Oda, Ghana, Chairman Olomoro Development Union Warri, President Isoko Development Union, Warri, President General, Isoko Development Union worldwide.
He stated that, as a dedicated leader poised towards achievements, he purchased a piece of land as president Warri branch and also laid the foundation of Isoko house Warri. According to Amadhe , Chief Omonose led the team that brokered peace between Igbide and Emede conflict in 1987.
He maintained that, as president general of Isoko nation, his team, helped in the creation of the second local government area in Isoko, now Isoko North local government area.
Amadhe added that Omonose created Isoko Day celebration, Isoko Merit Award and the establishment of Isoko Community Bank, now known as IC Global Micro Finance bank.
Amadhe said, 21 gun salute at Isoko Development Union National secretariat and another 21 gun salute at IC Global Micro Finance bank was in honor of Chief Patrick Omonose as last respect by Isoko people towards the development of Isoko nation.
He noted that Chief Omonose was among the people that contributed towards the purchase of the land of Isoko national secretariat, emphasizing that he had a good vision, good mentor and lived a successful life worthy of emulation.
Chief Patrick Omonose was buried at Olomoro community, Isoko South local government area by the children, family and church members amidst more eulogies from friends and sympathizers from Delta State and other part of Nigeria.
