The president of the women wing of Isoko Development Union, Chief Mrs. Felicia Suleiman, has urged Nigerians to avoid hate speeches as it is retrogressive to the development of the society especially as the 2019 general election gets closer. Mrs. Suleiman stated this at a one day seminar and skills acquisition programme organized for Isoko women and girls, held at Isoko unity house Oleh, Isoko South local government area of Delta State.

Mrs. Suleiman while advocating for love and peace in Nigeria said, “Nigeria is one and as we live together, we must learn to promote one another”, noting that it’s proper to correct any wrong with love, fight criticism and hatred even as we do not have another country.

The seminar which has its topic as ‘Harmonious living among the Isoko women’ was anchored by various resource persons with emphasize on conflict management and resolution by Pastor Dr. Ezekiel Gwede, healthy living by Dr. Jabin Ubini and safety at our finger tips by Mr. Peter Odhomor.

Chief Mrs. Suleiman noted that health is wealth and eating the right food and drink with more of water as posited by the speakers during the seminar, makes for longevity as the woman’s life becomes better and out of sickness. She added that the skills acquisition training enhances the women ability to be self reliant and not be dependent on the men for their needs, especially the girls.

The seminars was attended by about three hundred women and girls from the twenty two clans in Isoko South and North and were trained on food and nutrition, juice and smoothie, cake and pastries, wig making and perfumery.

She commended the president general of Isoko development union, Chief Iduh Amadhe for support and privilege given to the women wing of the union which according to her made the programme successful. She urged Nigerians to vote wisely, noting that the essence of the seminar is to promote unity and love in the family and Nigeria as a country.
