THE Managing Director/CEO of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Bashorun (Hon) Askia Ogieh FCNA, CrFA, has been conferred with PUBLIC SECTOR MANAGER OF THE YEAR 2020 at the Independent Annual Awards, held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Meanwhile, well meaning Nigerians, particularly Deltans, sons and daughters of Isoko Nation at home and in the Diaspora have hailed the recipient, saying that the honour was well deserved, considering his immense contribution to the general well-being of the people.
They said that the conferment of the PUBLIC SECTOR MANAGER OF THE YEAR 2020 on Bashorun Askia, did not come as a surprise to majority of Nigerians because they are aware of the managerial and leadership prowess of the Udu 1 of Isoko Nation, whom they say has many awards to his credit.
Bashorun Askia, who lauded the organizers of the Independent Annual Awards for finding him worthy for the honour, also in acknowledging the many congratulatory messages, thanked the numerous well wishers for their support and prayers.
