ENCOMIUMS have begun to pour in as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, was on Saturday, November 27, 2021 inducted into the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
The Internationally acclaimed Forensic Accounting expert, was among 850 other persons inducted into the prestigious instutute by the President and Chairman in Council, CITN, Adesina Adedayo, mni, FCTA, FCA, at the Lagoon Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Institute is responsible for regulating and controlling the taxation profession in its entire ramifications, and determining what standards of knowledge and skills are to be attained by persons seeking to become professional Tax Practioners or Administrators, among others.
Many Nigerians, mostly Deltans have hailed the recipient, Bashorun Askia Ogieh FCNA, CrFA, whom they described as a master strategist, accountant per excellence who is an asset to the accounting profession, a master of security matters, adding that “as a professional and consultant in TAX matters, this Cap fits well on you.”
