Hon. Azuka Azaka who is representing the people of Ndokwa West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly has been elected in the primaries of the PDP to fly the party’s flag in the general elections.

The law-maker polled 45 votes to defeat his predecessor in office, Hon. Emeke Ukpe who got one vote while the pioneer Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. “I thank those who contested against me, it shows that we have a robust democracy in Ndokwa West constituency, Delta State and in particular, the PDP, there was no form of violence, no form of hijacking of materials and I will use this opportunity to also commend the leadership of our great party, the PDP for conducting the primaries,” Hon. Azaka said, adding, “this election shows that the people are happy with our modest achievements within the past three years plus and I want to assure them that it can only get better.”

Also speaking, Hon. Godwin Omosor said, “it is important to note that everybody is happy with the outcome of the primaries, those who lost are also happy and are ready to work for the growth of our party, PDP is a family and this primary in Ndokwa West is a clear signal to others that we can practice democracy without rancour,” and described the emergence of Hon. Azaka as “the people’s choice, he has done well and I can tell you that with Hon. Azaka, PDP will get a clear victory in the general elections.
