Delta State First lady, Deaconess Roli Nere Uduaghan, has called on Deltans, especially women to always take time out of their busy schedules to engage in fitness activities.

She said this on Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Asaba, shortly after completing a 12.22 kilometres endurance road walk, tagged “Walk 4 Life”.

The fitness exercise, which she said would be held more often with the women on every first Saturdays of the month, is sponsored by Master Care Foundation, a pet project of Her Excellency, Deaconess Roli Uduaghan, wife of Delta state governor.

The 12.22 kilometre road walk, led by wife of Delta state governor, started at the InterBau (Ekumeku) Round-About in Asaba, through the Asaba-Benin Express Way to Ibusa, with a large turn-out of participants, including serving women commissioners and legislators as well as wives of key government officials in the state.

The Delta state governor’s wife, who revealed that she has done well over 12 kilometres of road walk in the past encourage women to sustain their good health through useful exercises, saying “To keep healthy, we must exercise as part of our assignments. When you eat right and you do not exercise, you are worse than somebody who does not eat at all.”
