Delta To Witness Massive Infrastructural Devt In 2013 – Hon. Azaka

azakaDeltans have been urged to expect more infrastructural development in this fiscal year.

The member representing Ndokwa West constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Azuka Azaka gave the assurance while speaking at donation of 100 seats and desks by Ugiliamai Development Initiative (UDI) to be used by pupils of Asamala Primary School, Ugiliamai in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state.  The occasion took place at the weekend at the primary school premises.

According to Hon. Azaka who was responding to a call by the coordinator of UDI, Chief George Okpala for the asphalting of the less than 4 km Ugilama/Ossissa road, there was good provision for infrastructure development and urged the people of the state to be patient and think positively.

The lawmaker, noted that government has a lot of challenges in terms of provision of infrastructure due too competing demands, but assured that the state would witness massive development this fiscal year.

Hon. Azaka emphasized that the Ugiliamai/Ossissa road would get government attention because of its socio-economic benefits to communities that make use of the road, disclosing that he would liaise with different organs of government including the Direct Labour Agency (DLA) to ensure speedy tarring of the road.

He stated that in the interim, he would work towards the opening up of the road by grading it, emphasizing that it is an important road the connects many communities together.

Chief Okpala had in his speech, stated that the road is very important because it links so many communities together, adding that the recent flood that ravaged coastal communities in the state had made it obvious that the community deserves motorable link roads.

He commended Hon. Azaka for being a true representative of the people and urged him to always consult his constituency and engage in actions which would bring development to his constituency.
