A foremost philanthropist and Labour Party ( LP) governorship aspirant in Edo state, Dr. Azemhe Azena, has sent a goodwill message to the Oba of the ancient Benin Kingdom, Oba Ewuare 11, on the occasion of the celebration of the popular Igue Festival, in Benin city, the Edo state capital.

In a message signed by his media team, Dr. Azemhe extols the rich culture of the Edo people and the leadership quality of the revered monarch as he marks yet another milestone with the celebration of the Igue festival.

The seven-day festival which takes place yearly between Christmas and the New year, includes the Oba’s blessing of the land and his people while sacrifices are offered as the chiefs files out for the Ugie dance.

The popular Televangelist whose wife hails from the Bini ethnic group, wish the monarch and the entire Edo people a happy celebration.
