The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has issued a certificate of return to Dr Azemhe Azena, who won the primary election to become the party’s flag bearer in the upcoming governorship election in Edo state.

The certificate was presented to Dr Azemhe by the leadership of the party, led by Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso amid other contestants and party faithful in Abuja on Tuesday.

Speaking to journalists after the presentation, the ebullient clergyman and grassroots politician thanked his fellow contestants and urged them to “join forces with him for the journey ahead”.

He expressed gratitude to the party members and the leadership for finding him “worthy to carry the flag of the party in the upcoming gubernatorial polls in September”.

Dr Azemhe Azena is a popular televangelist and philanthropist who has helped thousands of youths renounced crime and embraced the path of peace in the quest for a better Edo State.

Through his NGO, he has rendered help to indigent students across religious divide while providing for poor patients in hospitals and the widows in our communities.

Dr Azemhe Azena, a former chieftain of the Labour Party, hails from Okpekpe, Etsako East local government in the Edo North senatorial zone.
