Blank NEWS Online can report that there was huge fire outbreak which engulfed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Offices at the Federal Secretariat complex along Okpanam Road in Asaba, Delta State capital.
The NYSC office is located on the 2nd floor of the Federal Secretariat, housing most annex offices of Federal ministries, departments and agencies in the state.
Dependable sources say the offices were completely razed and valuable official documents consumed by the big conflagration.
It took the efforts of the fire service at Asaba Airport to help contain the situation, which allegedly overwhelmed the fire fighting machinery stationed at the complex.
The fire, according to eyewitnesses account started at the early hours of Tuesday while the cause is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Olutayo Samuel, has confirmed the incident, adding that the NYSC offices at Federal Secretariat Asaba were completely burnt by the fire.
