“GET YOUR PVC, VOTE, SHUN VIOLENCE DURING 2023 ELECTIONS” – OLOMORO MONARCH URGES ELECTORATES

HRM Isaiah Isike, Edekere 1, the Odiologbo of Olomoro kingdom, has urged the people of Olomoro community to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC), shun violence and vote peacefully during the 2023 general elections.

The monarch made the hint at his palace while speaking to Journalists at Olomoro, Isoko South local government area of Delta State. He urged the people to change the habit of selling their PVC and votes, noting that dividends of democracy rights and privileges may have been destroyed for a morsel of meat.

The monarch warned the youths against thurgery, stressing that it could lead to death, and “No amount of compensation can equal the life that has been wasted”, emphasizing that, “Whoever is destined to win the 2023 elections, cannot be stopped”.

While barating the government, the management of the oil firm and contractors on road and other developmental projects in Olomoro community, the monarch decries the underdevelopment in the area, adding that it could lead to youth restiveness and community crisis.

He noted that Olomoro community is blessed and the youths are not the direct beneficiaries of the oil firm activities in the area, just as he said, only people from other parts of the country are employed to the disadvantage of people from the area.

The monarch urged the management of Heritage Energy Oil Services Limited and government contractors handling various developmental projects in the area, to engage the youths, especially graduate’s that unemployed, and warned those sabotaging the employment of the youths to desist.

He expressed uptimism for the youth of the area, just as he stated that his position as the Royal Majesty is an act ordained by God Almighty.

The monarch called on the state government to prevail on relevant authorities to construct the road to his palace, as the road is under deplorable state, adding that the PHCN meter in the palace is only one face and puts the palace in darkness most times light is restored to the community.

He urged leaders of the community to be selfless and coperate with him to manage the affairs of the kingdom in truth to ensure it remains together.

The monarch noted that the community is divided politically, stressing that selfish interest has jeopardized the development of Olomoro community.
