GOV. UDUAGHAN HOLDS THANKSGIVING SERVICE FOR LATE MOM

uduaghan momA Special Thanksgiving Service has been held in memory of late Mrs. Cecilia Uduaghan, mother of Delta State Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.

The event which took place at Saint Benedict Catholic Church Ubiaja recently in Edo State was to mark the 10th Memorial Anniversary of the diseased.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Uduaghan said his mother was a prayerful woman and that her wise counsel was responsible for the success of her children.

Emphasizing further he said “My mother was a very prayerful woman and she brought us up in the way of the lord. Her wise counsel has helped us to excel in life.”

The governor thanked God for his blessings upon him and his family particularly his political success is and for attaining 25 years of marital bliss.uduaghan mon 2

He also expressed his gratitude to Saint Benedict Catholic Church for their spiritual support for his administration.

Also speaking the wife of the governor, Mrs. Roli Uduaghan paid tribute to her late mother-in-law saying that the deceased wise counsel contributed to the success of her home.

She expressed appreciation to God for the progress made by the children of late Celilia Uduaghan and prayed God to continue to guide all of them.

In a sermon delivered by the Parish priest of Saint Benedict Catholic Church Ubiaja, Rev. Francis Omonlumen charged Christians not to waiver in their faith in God no matter the temptation they face.

uduaghan mom1Citing the biblical example of Job, he said he lost everything but still trusted in God stressing that Christians should be prayerful to avoid falling into temptation.

According to him “ Christians should learn to trust in God, we should not waiver in our faith even in the face of temptation. Job was a man of faith, he trusted in God even when he lost everything in life.”

The governor later inspected the Social Centre under construction at the church premises and promised to support the project.

Present at the thanksgiving service was the State Deputy Governor, Prof Amos Utuama (SAN) and his wife, legislators, Local Government Transition Committee Chairmen, Women and Youth Groups from Delta and Edo States.
