THE Delta State Government through the ministry of Oil and Gas, has directed the management of Agip Oil Company Limited with Headquarters in Portharcout Rivers State and Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited at Lugards Avenue Ikoyi Lagos State, to henceforth discontinued all dealings with the current Community Development Committee ( CDC) constituted by HRM Anthony William Ovrawah Omogha1, the Odiologbo of Oleh kingdom.
The statement signed by Avwenaghagha A., Director local content for the honourable commissioner, ministry of Oil and Gas and Hon. Asasa E. Victor, chairman Isoko South local government area stated that, Agip Oil Company Limited and Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited should deal directly with the President General of Oleh Community Comr.(Chief) Believe Alakri, with respect to Oil and Gas issues in the existing GMOU.
The directive should be strictly adhered to as it is a measure applied by the Delta State Government to ensure peace and security in Oleh and the neighbouring Communities.
The statement added that the Oil firms should be rest assured of condusive atmosphere for their operations in Communities of Isoko South as the Local Government Council and Security Agents are on top of the situation.
It noted that copies of the statement has been sent to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Hon. Commissioner, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Commissioner for Energy and the Special Advicer, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution.
Others are the Manager Stakeholders Management and Community Development Division, NAOC Portharcout, the Assistant Manager, Nigeria Agip Oil Company Kwale / Okpai gas plant, the Commissioner of Police Delta State, the Director State Security Service Asaba, the Commanding officer 181 Amphibious Army Command Agbarho, the Area Commander, Area Command Nigeria Police Force Ozoro and the Divisional Police Officer Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, amongst others.
