In a rather shocking development which bookmakers have described as political inconsistency, Tambuwal has finally joined Sokoto State governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), after his shot at the Presidential ticket failed.

Embattled Tambuwal picked the nomination forms on Friday and headed straight to Sokoto to inform his Governor, Aliyu Wamakko of his intentions to take over from him.

“My guber nomination forms are here. Tambuwal displays the forms. I assure Sokoto people that if given the mandate, I won’t let them down. I will continue with the legacies of our Leader.

“Governor Wamakko’s support and encouragement has made us succeed in our assignment at the National Assembly in Abuja.

“Although some people wanted me to run for Presidency, after due consultations, I decided to come back home and work for the development of the state”.
