Isoko Monarchs Laud Gov Okowa For Delta Assembly Majority Leader Position

ISOKO Traditional Rulers Council through its Chairman, HRM Anthony William Ovrawah Omogha 1, the Odiologbo of Oleh kingdom, has lauded the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for retaining the position of the Majority Leader in Isoko Nation, that was made vacant by the demise of Hon. Tim Owhefere.

Speaking to newsmen in his palace at Oleh, Isoko South local government area, the monarch commended governor Okowa for his commitment to fairness and justice, adding that Isoko sons and daughters will remain gràteful for the position of the majority leader and other completed projects in the area.

The monarch noted that Governor Okowa has proven to be the true governor of the people as Hon. Ferguson Onwo, member Delta State House of Assembly, Isoko South Constituency 2, becomes the Majority leader, assuring that Isoko people will continue to support the administration of Governor Okowa and prayed for peace, wisdom, long life for the governor and entire Delta State.

While corroborating Oleh monarch, the Ovie of Ellu kingdom, HRM Othuke Murphy Erugbezi, Ogwara 1, said “every Isoko man is happy with the wonderful work of Okowa to have returned the position to the Isoko people”.

“Okowa used his wisdom to pick this young man who has been with us politically and traditionally. I also appreciate the Speaker and members of the House of Assembly”.

“I know the governor is behind Isoko nation any time any day, so we keep praying for him, asking God to continue to lift him higher and higher”, he said.

He maintained that, Ferguson Onwo is a man you call any time and he will listen to you, emphasizing that Ferguson Onwo is among the kind of people to work with the governor to move the state forward.

The monarch added that, “Every position is important in politics and this is a position that commands respect for our people”.

On his part, the Ovie of Enhwe kingdom, HRM Anthony Efekodha said, Ferguson Onwo is a very honest and dedicated politician, noting that his emergence as Majority Leader is a plus, not only to the Isoko nation but to the entire Delta State.

“We thank the Governor and the Speaker for approving his emergence and for ensuring that the position remain in Isoko nation”, he said.
