Hon. Victor Asasa has emerged consensus candidate for Isoko South local government area under the Peoples Democratic Party as Delta State local government election holds on 6th of March 2021.

While announcing result of the primary election held at Ekpre Otobo Hall, Oleh, Isoko South local government area, the returning officer, Sir Kerry Jackson said, Hon. Victor Asasa polled 116 votes to become sole candidate.

Kerry stated that the delegates unanimously picked, voted and affirmed Victor Asasa as the choice of the people.

He commended the delegates of the party saying, “there is solid PDP family in Isoko South local government and I believe absolute victory during the forthcoming election.”

The chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Isoko South local government area, Odio Chief Godspower Obaro stated that the choice of Hon. Victor Asasa was the delegates unanimous decision, just as the primary election was conducted peacefully. “As chairman of the party, I am so happy for the peaceful primary election and I congratulate Victor Asasa for the victory.”

He urged members of the party to remain united and prepare for victory on the 6th of March 2021, noting that delegates were from various wards of the local government area and the party has done well.

While appreciating members of the party for affirming him as the consensus candidate for the chairmanship position of Isoko South local government, Hon. Victor Asasa commended the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and love shown from the PDP family saying, “I am overwhelmed, this is show of love from the family, the people queued behind me with joy and said, this is our candidate”.

“I appreciate and I tell you that victory will come in due course, I am confident that people from other parties are making arrangement to join PDP”.

He urged members of the party to be committed as victory will come on 6th of March 2021, just as he promised not to disappoint the people.

On his part, the Chairman of Isoko South local government area, Sir Itiako C. Ikpokpo, commended members of the party, the leaders of the party, especially those that agreed to step down for Asasa to emerge consensus candidate and assured of peaceful election on 6th of March 2021.

Sir Ikpokpo noted that PDP is known for vigorous campaign and stressed that with prayers, counseling, support and guardian from party leaders, winning the election will be easy.

Mr. Atano Efe, electoral officer for Isoko South, representing Delta State independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC), commended delegates for the peaceful conduct of the local government chairmanship primary election.

He urged the electorates to prepare and be committed to whoever they will vote for on March 6th 2021, and assured of the Commission’s preparedness.
