LP ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE VOWS TO  ELECTRIFY BOMADI COMMUNITIES

-By Harrison Akamule:

House of Assembly candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Bomadi State Constituency, Delta State, Mr Poweide Foburuku, says he’ll prioritize access to electricity for maximum benefit of all communities in Bomadi Local Government Area.

“I will therefore cultivate rapport with the executive arm of government and work with other legislators in the Assembly from riverine areas to seek support secure legislation that will make government declare an emergency on access to steady electricity in the area long deprived of same”, he said.

Fobruku said “government declaration of emergency on electricity not only hold the potential to generate employment in many spheres and guarantee security, it can boost revenue generation for government via taxation and halt rural-urban drift”, adding: “It is thus an harbinger of positive socio-economic development”.

“The benefits that come with the simple electrical bulbs, television, computers and now cell phones are yet to trickle down to my people for lack of access to steady electricity”, Foburuku, who read electrical/electronics engineering, lamented.

The LP House of Assembly Candidate said with electricity, the people of Bomadi LGA can be empowered with unique technical and digital skills to prepare them for the benefits the robust gig economy already holds out to this and the incoming generation.

“I will attract and decentralize Technical and Digital Skills Training Centres to make them close to the people so especially our youths can keep up with a fast-paced digital world”, he promised.
