Nigeria, represented by Delta State, wins World Debate Championship in Qatar

Delta State team has won the National Championship of the World Debate organised by the President School Debate Nigeria in the Presidency.

The State of Chicago USA, Nigeria, and Qatar got to the finals of the competition.

Nigeria won 2-1 in the first round against host Qatar, and then 3-0 in the final round, bringing it to the total 5-1 to emerge winner.

The Chairman, Delta State Universal Education Board, SUBEB, led the youngster from Delta State to Qatar to represent Nigeria for the World academic competition.

Meanwhile, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who had last week received the team at Government House, Asaba, prayed with them and charged them to ensure they bring the trophy to Nigeria.
