The governor of oil and gas wealthy Delta state in Nigeria, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan was among Guest speakers on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the British African Diaspora Conference dedicated to Nigeria and held at the Houses of Parliament in London.

Other speakers at the well attended conference were Chi Onwurah, MP for Newcastle Upon Tyne Central and Meg Hillier MP, Chair of All Party Parliamentary Group on Nigeria.

The conference is organised by the African Partnership Development, an organisation aimed at creating constructive interaction between the African Diaspora Community in the UK, African governments and the UK government.

The conference with theme, “Nigerian Environment Beyond Politics and Amalgamation” focused on Nigeria as the country marks 100 years of Amalgamation by the British colonial masters as well as the need for international dialogue and Diaspora participation in key issues affecting Nigeria.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of a souvenir to the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Nigeria, Meg Hillier MP by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State during the British African Diaspora Conference which took place at the Houses of Parliament, Grand Committee Chamber, Westminster, London on Tuesday.
