NUJ Pointer Chapel Chairman’s Sister Kidnapped

MRS Anwuli Ossai, a staff of Oshimili South local government council of Delta State has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen operating in a black coloured Golf car in Asaba.

Mrs Ossai, sister to the Chairman of The Pointer Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Fidelis Egugbo was kidnapped as she was about entering her compound from the church at about 6.45 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2012

No contact has been made and her husband, Mr Chika Ossai who declined comments was said to have adopted the praying and waiting game expecting that the kidnappers will return his wife.

Eye witness account said Mrs Ossai was already at her gate when she noticed that her vehicle was obstructing a car that was following her, it was when she packed out of the road that the kidnappers took her from her car into theirs and zoomed off.

It was stated that she tried to resist by locking her vehicle but the kidnappers consistently threatened to shoot her which made her to come out of her vehicles.

As at the time of filing this report, no contact has been made between the kidnappers and members of Mrs Ossai’s family, but, the family is praying and hopeful that she will be released.
