Ogbaru traders in Onitsha, Anambra State, have endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for re-election in the November 2025 Governorship election.
Their support, announced at the market’s 40th anniversary on Friday, cited Soludo’s improvements in security and infrastructure.
Market Chairman, Chief Dr. Ndubuisi Ochugo, said the endorsement reflects a desire to build upon progress under Soludo’s leadership. “We want a better Anambra and Nigeria,” he stated, highlighting Soludo’s achievements in security, infrastructure, and governance.
He pledged the traders’ continued support and urged others to join in.
Senior officials, including Governor Soludo’s Senior Special Adviser on Trade, Hon. Evaristus Uba, and representatives from security outfits and other markets, echoed the sentiment.
They praised Soludo for restoring peace and security, saying the era of insecurity is over. They urged voters to support Soludo and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The endorsement was formally proposed by Anambra State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and seconded by Ogbaru Market Board Chairman, Chief J.I. Ejison.
